Tainted Blood Page 8
Without quite knowing how it happened, Becky found herself lying naked in the tub, her thoughts feeling as though they were wrapped in cotton. She reached over and turned the jets on and was rewarded with a gentle massage as if a thousand tiny fingers were touching her body. She rolled slightly to the side and let the bubbles caress her inner thighs, sighing as the warmth spread from her crotch up to her breasts, making her nipples as hard as rocks.
When the door opened, she turned her head and looked through clouds of billowing steam at Theo entering the room. He was completely naked and held a drink in each hand.
Becky gasped as her eyes naturally fell to his groin, where his enormous penis stood at full erection. It seemed to be pointing right at her. She tried to come awake and focus her thoughts, but it was if she’d been drugged. All she could think of was that she couldn’t allow him to try and put that thing in her—it would split her in half.
Theo bent down and handed Becky her drink, letting his hand glide down across her breast to lightly tweak her nipple as she took it.
“You have lovely breasts, my dear,” he said, his voice growing husky with lust.
Becky took a drink, more to have something to do than because she was thirsty. “Uh, where’s Billy?” she managed to croak, her eyes darting around the room, looking at anything to keep them off his body.
He set his drink down on the edge of the tub and stepped into the bubbling water, easing her up to a sitting position and sliding down behind her. He wrapped his arms around her, his hands on her breasts, and pulled her back against him so she was sitting between his legs.
She could feel his erection poking against her backbone as he said, “Billy and Christina are busy in the other room, my dear. You don’t have to worry about him interrupting us.”
In spite of herself, Becky threw her head back and moaned when his left hand caressed her breast while his right hand dipped down and his fingers entered her wetness.
She could feel him throb against her as he moved his fingers in and out and she bucked her pelvis against his hand. She tried to say no, but the words wouldn’t come and all she could do was pant and gasp at the feelings he was causing her to have. She forgot all about her vow not to let him have sex with her—in fact, she felt as if he didn’t do something soon, she was going to scream in frustration.
Becky was just on the verge of an orgasm when his hands moved under her arms and he lifted her up without apparent effort. He positioned her over him and dropped her down onto his penis, pausing for a moment as it met her hymen.
“Please, don’t,” she gasped, summoning all of her will to try one last time to deny him. “I’m a virgin . . .”
“Not anymore, my dear,” Theo growled, jerking her down and impaling her upon his staff.
He cut off her scream of pain by twisting her head around and covering her mouth with his as he pumped and pounded against her buttocks with his groin. The water in the tub turned scarlet as he ripped his way into her inner recesses.
She dug her fingernails into his thighs, trying to dislodge him, until after a moment her eyes glazed over and she began to push back against him as orgasm after orgasm shook her to her very core.
When she moaned, “Yes . . . yes,” against his lips, he pulled his head back and put his lips against the warm, pulsating artery in her throat.
When his penis began to throb and spurt inside her, he let himself change and he sank his fangs into her neck, sucking her blood as he filled her with his essence.
Becky opened her eyes and tried to scream at the sight of the monster’s face against her neck, but for some reason, her throat wouldn’t work.
Theo’s gleaming red eyes bored into hers as the light faded from them and she died.
He didn’t stop pumping against her when she went limp, and he continued to feast on her for several minutes until she was drained and empty.

In the bedroom, Christina wasted no time. As soon as the door was shut, she turned to Billy and put her arms around his neck. “You don’t mind if I change into something more comfortable, do you, dear?”
As she said this, Christina let her thigh push between Billy’s legs until she could feel him responding.
“Uh, no,” he managed to say, his eyes bulging out. “Go right ahead.”
She turned her back to him and raised the hair off the back of her neck. “Would you mind undoing me?”
He reached up and with trembling fingers undid the clasp at the neck of her dress. His eyes bulged with disbelief as Christina let it fall to her hips. She wasn’t wearing a bra and she backed into him and pulled his arms around her and placed his hands on her breasts. Damn! He thought. This was like something out of a movie. This just didn’t happen to guys who worked at Al’s Garage in Banff, Canada.
“Do you like that?” she whispered.
“Oh, yes!” he moaned, kneading and squeezing her breasts as hard as he could.
Christina frowned and turned to face him. “Easy, Billy, they’re to play with, not break.”
“Oh, I’m sorry,” he said, blushing and jerking his hands off of her.
“Here, let me show you how to hold them,” Christina said, reaching down and unzipping his jeans. She pulled his erection out and gently ran her hands up and down the shaft, making it jump and throb. Then she cupped his balls, being very gentle.
“See, easy does it big boy.”
He almost fainted at the feeling as he pushed his penis against her hand and put his hands back on her breasts, more gently this time.
He bent down and put his lips on hers, groaning when she stuck her tongue in his mouth and pressed herself against him.
Seconds later, she reached up and ripped his shirt off, moaning “Hurry, hurry,” under her breath.
When they were both completely naked, she put her hands against his chest and pushed him back on the bed, following him and straddling him.
As he clumsily pushed against her, trying to get inside, she laid out flat on his body and used her hands to help him. When he rammed his penis in her and began to buck and thrust as fast as he could, she reached down and cupped his balls in her hand again and squeezed.
He gasped and quit moving as he opened his mouth to yell in pain. “Not so fast, dear,” Christina said, her voice hard. “This isn’t a race, so slow down!”
His face burning in embarrassment, Billy nodded and began to move slowly in and out inside her.
“That’s better, sweetie,” Christina said, kissing him on the lips and putting his hands back on her breasts.
When he moaned and closed his eyes and it became evident he wasn’t going to last much longer, Christina climbed off of him.
“No . . . no . . . don’t stop!” he pleaded, trying to pull her back on top of him.
“Uh-uh, darling,” she said. “Little Christina wants to enjoy this too, and you’ll never last long enough this way.”
She twisted on the bed and threw her right leg over his head and lowered herself down onto his face. “Now, you go to work up there,” she said, lowering her head and kissing his penis, “And I’ll go to work down here.”
She teased him by slowing and stopping her kissing and sucking whenever he got close to climaxing, until finally she felt the beginnings of her own orgasm. As she pulsed and throbbed, she dipped her head and brought him to conclusion at the same time.
He was still groaning and spurting when she flipped around and let herself change. He opened his eyes in time to see her fangs glistening with red drool as they moved toward his neck.
“No-o-o-o!” he tried to scream, until she tore out his throat and drank his life away.

After she was finished with Billy, Christina rolled over onto her back and saw Theo standing in the doorway, naked and stroking himself as he’d watched her feed.
She grinned and held out her arms to him. He growled and leapt onto the bed, landing between her legs.
He raked his fangs against her neck and tor
e deep furrows along her back with his claws as he rammed himself into her.
She growled and snarled back, sinking her fangs into his shoulder as she bucked back against him until they both came together with muted howls of pleasure.
Chapter 10
Elijah Pike joined his four friends at breakfast. Though he was by nature a morning person and usually in a good mood when he came down to eat, a larger than usual smile was on his face this day.
“Whoa, look at the cat who looks like he just swallowed a canary,” Shooter said as he slathered a huge amount of butter onto an English muffin.
“Yeah, what’s going on, Elijah?” TJ asked as she took the muffin away from Shooter and took a large bite.
“I just got off the phone with Doctor Wingate at McGill University, and he told me the new batch of plasmids is about ready to ship to us.”
Shooter made an attempt to grab his muffin back but TJ was too quick for him. With a mock scowl he took another from the basket in the middle of the table and began to butter it. “Hey, how about speaking English for those of us”—he paused, glancing around the table and smirking—“uh, those of us who aren’t doctors.”
“Let me explain it to him, Elijah,” TJ said through a mouthful of muffin, “I’m used to forcing myself to come down to his level.”
Shooter smirked again, his usual cocky smile back on his face. “Yeah, I remember how you had to force yourself last night, dear.”
TJ blushed and gave him an elbow in the ribs. “Shooter, if you can get your dirty mind back to business, what Elijah was saying is that the ingredients for the new and improved vaccine are ready to be shipped to us.”
“You mean those plasmid doohickeys he was talking about?”
“Shooter,” Elijah said as he took a seat at the table and reached for the muffin basket himself, “Plasmids are like tiny little animals that love to eat bacteriophage, or at least grab onto them and keep them from reproducing, and as you remember, bacteriophages are the little, uh, doohickeys in our bloodstream that carry our Vampyre characteristics.”
“Yeah, and the plasmids are pretty particular,” Matt added. “Each species of plasmid will only attack certain species of bacteriophages, so Doc Wingate has been working to get a family of plasmids that will more specifically go after the type of bacteriophages that cause the Vampyre syndrome.”
Shooter smiled and spread his arms, “Well, why didn’t you just say that in the first place?”
Everyone laughed and dug into their eggs and bacon and sausage, until Elijah interrupted the meal again with a question. “That reminds me, Sam,” he said, “how are you coming on the database of possible recipients?”
Sam, as the one of the group most accomplished with computer programming, had been assigned the task of taking all the names of Vampyres that Elijah had accumulated over his many years and finding out current addresses or phone numbers by using the Internet. These contact points were to be used to offer them the vaccine when it was ready.
She looked up. “I’m about ninety percent done, Elijah. Some of the names just don’t show up anywhere on any of the search engines I’ve been using.”
He nodded. “I’m surprised you found that many that did,” he said. “Most of us value our privacy highly and are loath to let our names get out into the public domain.”
“Well, most of the numbers I’ve gotten are cell phones, which as you know are pretty anonymous and won’t really enable anyone to be found. Just like you, they get one with a nationwide plan and they can be thirty states away from where they purchased it and no one could tell.”
“Yes, cellular phones and the Internet have made staying hidden much easier than it was in the old days,” Elijah said, a wistful look in his eyes as he remembered some of the elaborate schemes he’d used over the years to cover his tracks.
“Of course, most of our eventual users are going to find out about the vaccine through word of mouth,” TJ said as she took a final bite of Shooter’s muffin.
“Which brings up another question,” Shooter said. “Speaking as the member of this group in charge of security, exactly how are you going to set it up where we can administer the vaccine to the ones who want it without revealing our location to those who might want to use deadly force to stop us from giving it out?”
“That’s easy,” Elijah replied. “First off, any interested applicants will be given a cell phone number we’ll purchase just for that purpose. Once they’ve been told the basics, we’ll get an e-mail address and a post office box number for them and then, using our GhostSurf program to hide our location, Sam will email them explicit instructions and a list of side effects. If they’re still interested, they’ll e-mail us back and we will mail them a vial of the medicine large enough to last them for a year. Those that want to help, will be enlisted as distributors and before long we’ll have dozens if not hundreds of Vampyres doing our work for us.”
“How about the postmarks on the packages?” Shooter asked. “Couldn’t a hostile check that to see where the packages were mailed from?”
“Sure,” Elijah replied, “and that’s where the most difficult part of this is going to come in. We’re each going to have to fly periodically to other cities and mail the packages from there so as not to leave any traces of our home base.”
“That sounds awfully expensive, pal,” Shooter said, looking around at the group, “And since none of us are currently employed, how are we going to afford it? Are we going to charge for the vaccine, and if so, how will they get the money to us?”
Elijah smiled. “Not to worry, Shooter. In the first place, my net worth is something over four million dollars and it’s earning five percent a year, which gives us about two hundred thousand dollars a year to spend on our little venture. And yes, I will ask those who want to if they will give a voluntary donation to help cover the costs of manufacture of the vaccine by Doctor Wingate, and the distribution by us. If they want to donate, they’ll be given a number to a Swiss bank account which is identified only by another number, so it cannot be traced to us.”
Shooter smiled wryly. “Looks like you’ve thought of every thing, pal.”
“Years of practice, Shooter. After living as a hunted being for over two hundred years, you soon learn to cover all the possibilities or you don’t survive.”
He hesitated. “That brings up something else,” he added. “I don’t want to rush you, but I’m going to need your decision fairly soon on whether you two men want to be transformed. The process itself will take about a week or ten days for you to get through, and if you decide to do it, then the girls and I will have to go off the vaccine for at least a couple of weeks prior to . . . uh, donating our blood to you.”
“What?” Sam said, a look of dismay on her face. “Wait a minute, Elijah. Why will we have to go off the vaccine before the Rite of Transformation?”
Elijah smiled sympathetically. “I know it’s not something you want to do, Sam, to have to face the hunger again and not be able to satisfy it, but it’s necessary. If we keep taking the vaccine, it will keep the level of bacteriophages in our systems at a very low level, perhaps too low to infect Matt and Shooter.” He shook his head. “No, if we want this transformation to be successful, I’m afraid we’re going to have to go back to being wild again, at least for a short while.”
Matt, knowing how Sam dreaded the thought of having to endure the constant yearning to rend and tear and kill for blood the hunger would bring, put his hand on her arm. “I’m sorry, sweetheart,” he said. “If it means putting you through that again, I’ll just not go through with the process.”
She glanced at him and smiled through scarlet-tinged tears. “No, Matt, that’s unacceptable. I want you with me forever, and no price is too high to pay for that privilege. Besides, Elijah has plenty of blood bank blood on hand, and that will keep the hunger at bay until we can get back on the serum.”
Elijah glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes. They both knew that wasn’t true. The hung
er, when it came, demanded far more than just blood meals. It demanded the hunt and the kill and the feasting and all that went with it, including blood rich with the adrenaline-taste of terror the kill engendered in the victims. He knew that Sam and TJ and he would all have to endure a craving far worse than that of the heroin addict in order to transform the men. He only hoped they were strong enough to fight the hunger off without giving in to it before the job was done.
“How about you, TJ?” Shooter asked, his eyes full of concern.
“Been there, done that,” she answered shortly. “Remember, we went off the vaccine before when we had to go up against Morpheus.”
“Yeah, but then you got to, uh, hunt and kill,” Shooter replied. “It’s gonna be much worse for you not to get to do that.”
She put her hand over his on the table. “I’ll be busy nursing you, big boy, and that will keep my mind off the hunger,” she added, knowing what she was saying wasn’t true. For nothing could keep a Vampyre’s mind off the hunger once it set in—nothing except a fresh kill.
“So, we’re all decided then?” Elijah asked, respecting the girls’ desires to not let the men know what they were going to have to go through. “Both of you men want to go through the Rite of Transformation and all that it entails?”
All four at the table nodded.
“Good. Then we’ll go off our vaccine as of today, and I’ll give Ed and Kim a call asking them to do the same thing.” He’d already explained to everyone his theory of multiple donors perhaps enhancing the attributes of the transformees.
Sam raised her glass of orange juice high. “A toast,” she said, “to Matt and Shooter, soon to be with us forever.”
Five glasses were raised and all drank, each of them wondering what they were letting themselves in for.
Of the five, three knew that the next few weeks were going to be a living nightmare of the agony of unfulfilled hunger. A mind numbing experience that all three hoped they could endure for as long as was necessary to transform the men into members of their race.
The other two, Matt and Shooter, knew only that they were embarking on a journey of no return—one that would keep them with the women they loved for hundreds of years. They both knew that was worth any sacrifice.
